【美洲华联社5月17日讯】北京时间5月15日下午，由北京海外高层次人才协会主办的HICOOL全球创业者峰会暨创业大赛在北京城市副中心运河商务区北京国际财富中心正式启动。市委副书记、市长陈吉宁致辞，向全球创业精英发出诚挚邀请：“在北京点燃梦想、施展才华、拥抱未来！”
陈吉宁说，在全球抗击新冠肺炎疫情的特殊时刻，启动本次峰会暨创业大赛具有特殊的重要意义。面对疫情，我们最需要做的，就是全面加强国际合作，凝聚全球战“疫”的强大合力。历史证明，人类同疾病较量最有力的武器就是科学技术，人类战胜大灾大疫离不开科学发展和技术创新。我们要携起手来，共同促进创新资源要素交流合作，为打好疫情全球阻击战扫除障碍、创造条件、提供支撑。
陈吉宁说，北京作为中国的政治中心、文化中心、国际交往中心和科技创新中心，在赋能创新创业方面具有得天独厚的优势。北京是全球最活跃的创新城市之一。近年来，我们持续加大对人才的投入和支持力度，努力为各类人才在京发展和创新创业提供更好的条件。北京也是中国唯一同时实施自贸区政策和服务业扩大开放综合试点政策的城市，开放度最高、营商环境最好，依托制度高地和环境高地优势，提供各类创新支持政策，完善创新生态，提升创新效能，是国内外创业者实现创新发展的理想沃土。
陈吉宁说，这次新冠肺炎疫情，给经济社会发展带来很大冲击，但也推动了数字化、智能化加快发展，催生出许多新技术、新产业、新业态、新模式，为全球创业者和投资人带来了新的机遇。本次峰会以“创想未来”为主题，就是希望创业者们面对困难和挑战时，始终保持积极乐观、开拓创新的精神，善于从危机中捕捉和创造机遇，实现更好发展。作为峰会主办方，我们将努力为全球创业者搭建一个高水平的思想碰撞、交流互鉴的平台，真诚欢迎全球创业精英来北京创业发展。

HICOOL Global Entrepreneur Summit and Entrepreneurship Competition Officially Launched in Beijing
On 15 May, the launching ceremony of the HICOOL Global Entrepreneur Summit and Entrepreneurship Competition was held in Beijing.
With “Envision Your Future” being the slogan, the HICOOL Global Entrepreneur Summit and Entrepreneurship Competition are specially dedicated to entrepreneurs, designed to build a bridge between them and investing institutions.
At the launching ceremony, Robin Li, the founder, chairman of the board, and CEO of Baidu, delivered a speech in which he said, “HICOOL is a perfect platform for entrepreneurs to talk about dreams, to chase after dreams, and to realize dreams.” Jun Lei, the founder, chairman of the board, and CEO of Xiaomi; Qi Lu, the founder and CEO of MiraclePlus; and Hugo Shong, the founder and chairman of the board of IDG Capital, all took part in the summit dialogue session, bringing a brilliant collision of ideas from different perspectives. Their dialogues were centered around the challenges for entrepreneurship brought by the current global situation and how entrepreneurs can seize opportunities.
Yong Zhang, the chairman of the board and CEO of Alibaba; Neil Shen, Global executive partner of Sequoia Capital; and Lei Zhang, the founder and CEO of HIllHouse Capital, congratulated the launching of the summit via live video phone calls, and encouraged entrepreneurs to be confident, persistent, and hardworking.
The Entrepreneurship Competition takes place over 4 months. Focus is placed on high-tech fields such as artificial intelligence, bio-health, and next-generation information technology. The Competition offers a generously-high amount of cash prizes, abundant numbers of prizes, and complete supportive resources. The number of award recipients is 100, with up to a total of RMB 80 million in cash prizes, and RMB 1 billion in venture capital investment funds for the winning projects to use as direct investment.
This September, the Global Entrepreneur Summit will take place in Beijing’s Shunyi District, and the event will not only serve as the stage for the competition’s semi-finals and finals, but will also bring about exciting events such as innovation forums, exhibitions, entrepreneur-investor docking, as well as a music party. By then, the summit will have gathered together global entrepreneurs as well as investment institutions in Beijing, focusing on artificial intelligence, bio-health, 5G, and other hard-core technology fields to create an entrepreneurial carnival with innovative projects, cutting-edge ideas, and multi-dimensional resources, highlighting the technology-entrepreneur circle.
